Learn To Swim Day

Learn to Swim Day is a day to mark in your diary if you are keen for yourself or your child to learn to swim or to improve on existing skills. It was first celebrated in 2012, by ‘Swimways’ and the day has helped to raise public awareness about the importance of swimming.

Swimming is an important life-skill that everyone should be able to do, so why not celebrate Learn to Swim Day by picking up the phone and booking some lessons at your local pool?

There are many other ways you could mark ‘Learn to Swim Day’.

How about:

Enrolling in a First Aid or Life Guarding Class.
Hosting a pool party if you are lucky enough to have a heated pool.
Making time for a regular family swim at weekends.
Educating your children about all aspects of water safety.
