Quilt shops don’t get anything like the recognition they deserve for the vital role they play in supplying quilts. Visit Your Local Quilt Shop Day aims to change all that by bringing people together, in their local quilt shop, to celebrate all things quilty.

Let’s face it, a quilt shop is so much more than just a shop. It’s a place to hang out, have a cup of coffee, make new friends, and talk about quilts. Fabric shops of any kind can take part too, widening the scope of the day even further.

If you’ve never made a quilt, and surely that applies to one or two of you, then maybe this is the time to start quilting. Why not go along to your local quilt shop and find out how it’s done? If you don’t have a local quilt shop, visit someone else’s – they won’t mind!
